Feeding Therapy
Does your child struggle with mealtimes? Our SLPs specialize in pediatric feeding therapy for children experiencing:
- Picky eating and extreme food selectivity
- Texture aversions — gagging or refusing certain textures
- Oral motor difficulties — trouble chewing or managing food
- Swallowing problems (dysphagia)
- Difficulty transitioning from bottle/puree to solid foods
- Sensory-related feeding challenges
We use a gentle, child-led approach to help expand your child's diet and make mealtimes less stressful for the whole family.
AAC Expertise
We're proud specialists in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) — giving every child a way to be heard.
- Low-tech options: Picture boards, communication books, sign language
- High-tech devices: Tablets and speech-generating devices (SGDs)
- App-based systems: Proloquo2Go, TouchChat, LAMP Words for Life
AAC doesn't replace speech — it supports language development and gives your child a voice while they build verbal skills. We also help families navigate getting AAC devices funded through insurance.
Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
CAS is a motor speech disorder where the brain has difficulty coordinating the movements needed for speech. Children with CAS know what they want to say but struggle to make the right sounds.
Our team has specialized training in treating CAS with intensive, evidence-based approaches. We use motor learning principles and provide the frequent, structured practice that children with CAS need to make progress.

Common Questions
How do I know if my child could benefit from speech therapy?
Try our free Little Leaps Milestone Tool — it walks you through age-appropriate developmental milestones and gives you a clear picture of where your child is. If anything stands out, schedule a free screening or call us for a no-cost phone consult. We're happy to help you figure out the next step.
How often will my child attend sessions?
Most children attend 1–2 sessions per week, but frequency depends on your child's needs. Some children benefit from more frequent sessions. Your SLP will create a personalized plan after evaluation.
Can I be involved in my child's sessions?
Absolutely! Parent involvement is encouraged. You can observe sessions, learn techniques to practice at home, and your SLP will guide you on what works best for your child.
What can I do at home to support progress?
Read aloud and pause for your child to fill in words. Narrate daily activities. Practice target sounds during play. Even 10 minutes of daily practice using your SLP's home program makes a big difference.
